Refund & Cancellation Policies
1. Digital Purchase Policy
BAST Training is committed to ensuring satisfaction for all customers who purchase our products and as such we rely on our Digital Download Policy to help ensure this satisfaction.
Our Digital Download Policy is as follows:
- All sales on Digital Download Products are final are Non-Refundable or Exchangeable
- Choose wisely. Due to the high level of fraud with downloading music, MP3 downloads, video or other digital products, digital products bought from the BAST Training Store are NOT returnable, exchangeable, or refundable.
- If, however, you experience difficulty accessing or downloading your purchased product, then we will do everything to ensure you get the help necessary please see your purchase invoice for our support contact details.
- If you are having issues with your download please email us.
3. Foundation Course Refund Policy
At BAST Training, we are committed to providing high-quality education for singing teachers. As our Foundation Course is an online, self-paced digital product, different refund rules apply compared to physical goods or live courses. Please read our policy carefully before making a purchase.
i. Digital Product Refund Policy
Under UK law, digital products such as online courses are not eligible for a refund once accessed, downloaded, or streamed unless they are faulty or not as described.
We do not offer refunds for:
- Change of mind.
- No longer wanting the course.
- Not having the time to complete the course.
- Finding the course content difficult.
- Purchasing by mistake but accessing course materials
ii. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Limited Eligibility)
Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, customers may be eligible for a refund request within 14 days of purchase, provided they have not accessed course content (videos, PDFs, quizzes, or other materials). Once the course has been accessed, the right to a refund is waived.
To request a refund within the 14-day period (before accessing content), please email us with your order details.
iii. Faulty or Misrepresented Course Content
If you experience technical issues or believe the course is not as described, we will work to resolve the issue. If we determine that the course is faulty or significantly misrepresented, we will offer a refund or exchange in accordance with UK consumer law.
iv. Exceptional Circumstances
In rare cases, we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Please email us with details, and we will assess the request fairly.
v. Mentoring Session Cancellation Policy
Session Cancellation
If cancellation is necessary, we require that you make the change 24 hours or more in advance.
When you book your session, you are holding a space on the calendar that is no longer available to other students. In order to be respectful of your fellow students and the mentor, please contact us as soon as you know you will not be able to make your session.
How to Cancel Your Appointment
Changes to appointments can be made via the booking system confirmation email you received when booking your session. You can also email to cancel or request a session change.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a mentoring session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session, will result in that session being counted as used and deducted from the seven allocated sessions. As completion of all seven mentoring sessions is required in order to receive the Certificate of Completion, missed sessions may affect eligibility for certification. If a session is missed due to late cancellation or non-attendance, the only way to replace it is to book and pay for an additional mentoring session, charged at £40 for a BAST Mentor or £75 for a BAST Trainer, subject to availability.
4. Live (in person or Online) Events
For example courses, workshops, masterclasses, teacher training retreats.
Unless stated otherwise:
- Cancellation up to 21 days in advance, you will receive a full refund, minus 10% administration fee.
- Cancellation of 8 to 20 days beforehand, you will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellation of 7 days or less, you will not be refunded.
- If BAST Training cancels an event for whatever reason all paid up registrants will receive a full refund within 14 days of notification of the canceled event. Refunds will be made using the original form of payment. E.g. If paid by Stripe, refund will be via Stripe.
- It may be possible to transfer a fee to a different date/time if there are places available. Please email us to request the change.
