Why BAST Training Exists
Our founder, Line Hilton, spent years — and thousands of pounds — travelling the world piecing together vocal pedagogy, teaching methods, voice science, performing arts medicine and business skills.
None of it was in one place.
Often it was unnecessarily complicated.
And it took far too long.
BAST Training was created so singers no longer have to go through that journey alone.
Our mission is simple:
To raise the standard of singing teaching globally through evidence-based, ethical and practical education.
We believe every singer deserves access to high-quality teaching, and every teacher deserves the confidence to deliver it.
We're good at what we do...how do we know this?
Because the 650+ singing teachers who have attended our singing teacher training course or live events have told us so!
Since 2011 we have not had a rating lower than ‘Satisfied’ on our surveys. 82% of our grads say their overall satisfaction level with BAST Training and the course is “Very Satisfied”. 18% say they are “Satisfied”. Does this mean we’re perfect, of course not, but every time we get constructive negative feedback we make sure we review, change and update the course and support. This is how we know we are providing a second-to-none service to our teachers.6
