What will Santa bring you this Christmas? Why not ask for a brilliant BAST gift voucher so you can continue your professional development in 2021.

Here at BAST, we have big plans for 2021, and you can be part of them.

Whether you’re just starting out on your singing teacher journey, or are an experienced vocal coach looking to learn new skills and expand your business, BAST has got your back.

How we can help

If you’re new to singing teaching

Perhaps you’re a performer looking to add teaching to your repertoire, or maybe you fell into teaching and now want to learn more about anatomy, physiology and diagnosing, either way, BAST’s 20-hour flagship course is for you.

It covers the fundamentals of singing teaching so that you can pass on your knowledge in a professional, safe and scientific way. Sign up to one of our courses today (more details here).

Drop a Christmas present hint

If there’s someone in your life who would like to support you on your journey, then why not suggest that they purchase you a BAST gift certificate? Vouchers are available in three different amounts: £10, £20 and £50.

As a bonus, if you use a gift certificate towards the cost of a course, you’ll get a 5% discount.

BAST gift vouchers can also be used towards purchasing any of the goodies on our website. So even if you’re not planning on doing a course, family and friends can still support your professional development with a gift voucher.

If you’re looking to build on your strengths

BAST isn’t just a 20-hour course – it’s a lifelong connection with a community of singing teachers dedicated to encouraging, inspiring and helping each other.

By joining our BAST Membership, singing teachers can proactively build their professional network and get advice, share experiences and feel part of something bigger.

Slack Forum

In our Slack Forum members can chat to BAST Teachers and BAST Trainers. It is a platform for you to share projects, information and repertoire, and post job vacancies.

Monthly Get Togethers

Being a singing teacher can sometimes feel like a lonely occupation which is why we’re starting Monthly Get Togethers.

Every month members will have the opportunity to meet other BAST teachers and natter about their work, swap information and share useful resources.

In small breakout rooms, you can meet likeminded teachers to discuss specific focus areas such as extreme vocals, teaching kids or working in Higher Education.

Download worksheets

In 2021 you will be able to download worksheets/guides to help you with your teaching and your studio. Here are some examples of the worksheets that will be available to buy in the membership:

  • Step-by-step instructions on working with a student with a particular vocal challenge such as high larynx, TA Dominant, CT Dominant, pressed phonation, breathy or weak vocal fold closure, using extreme vocals and the changing adolescent voice.
  • How to assess a student’s voice.
  • Studio policies/T&Cs.
  • GDPR compliance.
  • Giving constructive feedback.
  • Teaching licks and runs.
  • Improvisation.

Resource packs

You will be able to download resource packs to help you grow your business and increase your client base. Here’s a taste of what will be available to buy in the membership next year:

  • How to become a peripatetic singing teacher (including a presentation pack for school assemblies).
  • Using digital marketing to grow your studio.

If you want to keep growing as a singing teacher and continue to find purpose and joy in what you do, join us here at BAST.
